# Status

| Status       | Description                                                                                                                                                          |
| ------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `processing` | The request has been sent to the bank and Palomma is waiting for response from the bank.                                                                             |
| `approved`   | The payment has been successful.                                                                                                                                     |
| `partial`    | The payment has been successful but the customer did not have enough funds to make the total payment. Only occurs for Payin Sources configured for partial payments. |
| `cancelled`  | Error state. More detail available in `statusMessage` field. See all [Status Messages](/api-documentation/statusMessages).                                           |
